CLOSED
POSITION:
the
adjustable cam is locked on to the plate by rotating the lever
counterclockwise. the automatic spring tension guarantees
positive clamping pressure even when there is no load. This
positive pressure also prevents the clamp from disengagin
or "walking" along the plate when reach the momentary
"dead lift" point going from a horizontal to a vertical
position with material. The clamp can only be opened and removed
when the plate is completely at rest and there is no tension
on the shackle.
OPEN
POSITION:
The
movable cam is locked in the open psition by rotating the
locking lever in clockwise direction. This allows the clamp
to be easily and correctly positioned on the plate. The stability
of the TGRIP plate clamp allows the plate to be lifted
from the horizontal to the vertical position through 180º
as well as transporting in the vertical position. Never
use the TBL to pull laterally (sideways).
